  • Any requests for donations on behalf of Vale of Clwyd Mind will clearly state the charity’s name and the intended use of the funds, which could be to Vale of Clwyd Mind as a whole or to specific projects. This ensures transparency in all fundraising efforts.
  • Your donation will support mental health and help individuals in need. Vale of Clwyd Mind minimises administrative costs, so as much of your donation goes directly towards providing quality services.
  • We can provide you with access to the latest annual report and financial statements, confirmation of charitable status, a copy of the Gift acceptance and ethical fundraising policy, and the outcomes of Vale of Clwyd Mind’s personal due diligence on you?. Simply let us know.
  • You can ask whether an individual soliciting funds on behalf of the charity is an employee, volunteer, trustee or other stakeholder.
  • If Vale of Clwyd Mind has any concerns that your donation may significantly impact your financial situation, taxable income, or family relationships, we will suggest you seek your own independent advice.
  • If you donate to National Mind by mistake, we can request that this money be directed to Vale of Clwyd Mind with your consent.
  • As a supporter, you can remain anonymous if legally and ethically possible. Only those involved in the donation process will know your name.
  • We respect your privacy and adhere to GDPR regulations. Your information will only be used for its intended purpose, and you can access your donor record anytime. Read our full privacy policy for more information.

  • Fundraising is really important to us and we are proud of what it helps achieve. We will constantly review our fundraising practices to make sure they are fair, sensitive and appropriate.

  • We adhere to the standards set out by regulatory bodies like the Fundraising Regulator and Charity Commission.

About your donation of the money you’ve raised

  • Your donation will be used responsibly to help people with mental health problems get support and respect. We will keep administration costs to a minimum without jeopardising the quality of our work, so as much of your donation as possible will be spent directly on those we support.
  • Clear financial information is readily available through our Annual Review.
  • We might turn down a donation if we feel that accepting it would damage our independence or reputation. If we do, we’ll always explain why.

Where it goes

Curious as to just how your fundraising efforts help support Vale of Clwyd Mind? Below is a breakdown of just some of the ways we use the money raised to support some important projects.

  • £10 – Could provide coffee/tea for one of our support group sessions
  • £25 – Helps our provide art materials for a creative mind craft session
  • £50 – Provides weekly Social Prescribing support for someone facing practical problems that impact on their mental health
  • £100 – Helps provide fuel for our Denbighshire Outreach Rural Information Service (DORIS) to travel to outlying areas
  • £270 – Allows us to provide a short programme of talking therapy/CBT for a local person
  • £1,500 – Could support Vale of Clwyd Mind to offer the full range of support services for one day
