Charity of the Year

Some companies support a different charity each year but many organisations choose to support a charity long term, embedding the partnership within the culture of the company.

You don’t have to be a large company or even a corporate company – societies, clubs and even bands can make Vale of Clwyd Mind their Charity of the Year. Whatever the size of your company or organisation, we would love to hear from you.

How does a Charity of the Year partnership work?

A Charity of the Year partnership can work in many ways but here are a few ways in which businesses and organisations can support us:

  • Donating
  • Sponsorship
  • Team Challenges
  • Events
  • Fundraising throughout the year
  • Something else

Corporate Giving

Partnering with Vale of Clwyd Mind can strengthen your company brand while promoting your products.

Maybe think about donating a percentage of your sales for a period of time?

Depending on the nature of your business, donating a percentage of your sales is a great way to raise funds for Vale of Clwyd Mind.

For example:

  • If you sell tickets to the public for an event, 10% of your ticket sales on a particular day could go to Vale of Clwyd Mind!

OR

  • If you own a restaurant, you could have a special dessert where £1 from every dessert sold goes to Vale of Clwyd Mind.

Whatever your business does, we will work with you to come up with an idea, so get in touch!

In return we’ll shout about the direct impact you’re having on support services within Denbighshire.

Sponsorship

Sponsoring an event we’re running is a great way to show your support for Vale of Clwyd Mind, while increasing awareness of your brand. Have your logo on all our event promotional materials and feature within media releases. If you partner with us, we’ll make sure you hear about opportunities!

You can sponsor:

  • An event (or other activity) that enables our vital work supporting local people in Denbighshire to continue.
  • A training session for our staff/volunteers
  • A flowerbed at our allotment
  • Creative supplies for our Coffee & Craft Sessions in Rhyl, Denbigh, Ruthin, Corwen and Llangollen
  • Printing of booklets – a lot of people we support aren’t able to go online and need printed copy. Printed fliers are also great for us to give out at events and open up conversation about mental health on our D.O.R.I.S vehicle that tours rural areas providing information

Please note, the list below is not exhaustive – we’re always open to ideas for collaborating together!

Gifts / Service in Kind

We’re always grateful to receive gifts in kind, which can be defined as a contribution of goods, services, activities or experiences, rather than a monetary donation.

This is a great way to help support your corporate social responsibility goals and might be unwanted products, discounted services or professional advice – using your company’s assets and employees’ skills.

Gifts in Kind can be a one-off donation, or ongoing support!
